The Swamp's true colors

There has been rain for 3 days at the farm. I didn't quite understand when Alisa said this was a swamp....now i do. The whole yard is one big puddle. Everything is squishy...EVERYTHING. And there is a river in the goats pasture.... crrrrazy!

Baby Rabbits

The baby rabbits were born! This little guy fell out of the nest and almost died, but Alisa spotted him and brought him inside to warm him up! So now he is doing great with all his brothers and sisters! The other momma unfortunatley had her rabbits on the coldest night and her babies didn't survive... :(  poor wittle wabbits....

The Sunchoke septor!

This was the largest sunchoke we have found yet! may have broke a world record! These plants are awesome. One plant can produce at least 5 pounds of sunchokes. It is crazzzy. It feels like digging for gold when we pull a plant out. And then we make soup. Which has forced us to rename the sunchoke soup to fartichoke soup. It tastes so good I don't even care.

Cindy's Farm

Cindy gave Amie some riding lessons. It was really cool to watch!

Cindy and Sergio's farm was awesome! We helped to butcher some of their chickens and had the pleasure of spending time at their house. They are wonderful people with amazing attitudes toward life. I can't wait to go back!

Glory's Farm

The ossabaw pigs! The one to the far left is going to have babies soon and Alisa and Chris are gonna get a few of them!!!

Jacob Sheep. They grow 4-6 horns out of their head! WHHHAT?! so cool.

We dropped gunner off and he met his new lady friend who reminds me of the horse spirit....I think they'll get along but she made it known that she is in charge! Glory and Cameron have a crazy variety of animals: pigs, sheep, goats, guinies, chickens, rabbits, horses, and I'm probably forgeting something. Super cool heritage breeds of animals.

Eden's birthday

Some friends came over to celebrate Eden's birthday on veteran's day. We had a good time making our cupcakes into monsters and eating the rest of the candy. Eden got a cool paracord bracelt making thing-a-ma-bob so she made a TON of those for a few days after her birthday.

We live in all things, All things live in us

We live by the sun
We feel by the moon
We move by the stars

We live in all things
All things live in us

We eat from the earth
We drink from the rain
We breathe of the air

We live in all things
All things live in us

We call to each other
We listen to each other
Our hearts deepen with love and compassion

We live in all things
All things live in us

We depend on the trees and the animals
We depend on the earth
Our minds open with wisdom and insight

We live in all things
All things live in us

We dedicate our practice to others
We include all forms of life
We celebrate the joy of living-dying

We live in all things
All things live in us

We are ful of life
We are full of death
We are greatful for all beings and companions

This is the poem we used for the day of the dead alter. I opened rigt up to this page in a book full of poems. Had to use this one.

Dia de los Muertos Celebration!

We cooked the goat for 15 hours in our pit roast and it turned out beautiful. The meat peeled right off the bone. It was quite the process to get it to work, but after a few changes it cooked just right.

Santa came over to teach everyone how to make tortillas and tamales. Everything was delicious and i have so much respect for anyone that makes these....it was a form of art. Santa was patient with us and helped us all out.

The alter turned out great! Great energy around it with photos of family members and little trinkets and a poem/ prayer.
