St. Augustine

We went to St Augustine for the day. Walked around nd it remided us of a mixture of San Juan in PR adn Key West. It was amazing arcitecture, but really a huge tourist trap as far as shops go. It was cool to walk around a bit, but didn't take too many pictures since there was a lot of stuff in the way of the cool buildings....

Ocala National Forest

We spent a night camping in Ocala Ntional Forest at Hopkins's Prairie and had a great time apart from Joe getting poked in the eye by a saw palmeto. We got to see a really nice night sky since there wasn't much around!

Not so Merry Springs

This is peaches. Joe and I stayed in here for 4 nights... roomier than a tent....smellier, too haha

There were tons of mushrooms everywhere. We got tons of cool shots of these babies.

This was the cob house that past woofers helped build. It looked pretty legit. I honestly would love to live in something like this. It was interesting to see it partially built and be able to see the earth bags filled.

This is Billy the goat on a boat. Mean mean boy goat who pees on his own face. because thats what male goats do. They piss on their own face. Very normal.

So Merry Springs farm was a very interesting experience where we did not "vibe" quite right. We feel that the description of the farm on the WWOOFing site was misleading. We were lead to believe that it was an established and running community/spa/farm. It was more of a far off distant dream. A dream I didn't feel like working on. So Joe had the guts to speak up and we left a bit early. Amen. It was a learning experience.

Sebastian Inlet State Park

Went off camping for a night so Joe could go surfing for a bit! We showed up on one of the biggest, cleanest swells that Florida has had in a while according to our camp ground host, Dan.

Joe did catch a few really good waves while I was either walking the beach or passed out in the sun haha. So I didn't get any pictures of him...whomp whomp...

Got some amazing bird shots. especially of these black skimmers. We had never seen so many at once and I had never been so close to them.

I love camping!

Just soaking in some moon light. Joe started experimenting with photoshop. Brilliant,
